The saying "when you know better, you do better" was made famous by Oprah Winfrey and it can be related to so many areas of life. This includes the area of the outdoor community, which is largely going unnoticed here in Australia in comparison to other areas across the world. You see, the Outdoor industry is not just a job that you have to battle mother nature and what she throws at you, you get to see first hand the impact that nature provides to all of us. Again not understood until you know about it, and then you too can take part.
Anyone who ventures outdoors, for work or leisure, can partake in the benefits, but how awesome would it be to work in it and be part of the journey that so many people discover the benefits first hand by helping to grow in them selves.
We are calling on our current leaders to help in providing their story that can inspire others to join the industry. With the short fall of resources and qualified staff the industry is currently experiencing the Australian Outdoor Industry (AOI) is producing a campaign to use real-life examples and showcase to future outdoor leaders so they can understand what their career could look like.
